SGSY Project (Employability Skills in Plumbing Industry)
Bhaskar Foundation was sanctioned another SGSY Special Project by Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India on 2nd February, 2010. Under this project training is to be imparted in Plumbing trade in 5 states i.e. Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat.
The objective was to train 2000 rural BPL youths of these states in plumbing skills and provide them placement linkage.
Various training centres were operated at Alwar & Jaipur in Rajasthan, Ferozpur, Gurdaspur & Taran Taran in Punjab, Godhra in Gujarat, Rewari and Sonipat in Haryana, and Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh.
Course material for this project was developed by International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) India Chapter with the support of Indian Plumbing Association (IPA).
We have successfully completed the target to train 2000 beneficiaries under this MoRD project with the placement of 75-80%.
