Bhaskar Foundation has implemented Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojna (DDUGKY) with support of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. Under the Project more than 1000 rural BPL youth have been trained in year 2014 - 2015. The Candidates were trained in Arc & Gas Welder, Hospitality Assistant and Sales Person (Retail) depending upon the qualification, interest level and competency in the beneficiaries. The Project covered 12 districts of Chhattisgarh i.e. Raipur, Raigrah, Korba, Baloda Bazar, Dhamtari, Gariyabandh, Bilaspur, JanjgirChampa, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Durg and Mahasamund. The project benefited SC, ST, Minority and Women population. A state of the art mega training center was established in the campus of Vindhya Institute of Technology and Science (VITS) near Dharsiwa, Bilaspur Road, Raipur. The center was equipped with modern training facilities to provide best training environment. Since the training was residential, separate hostel facility for boys and girls was setup within the campus where free boarding and lodging facility was being provided.
