Bhaskar Foundation is implementing Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojna (DDUGKY) with support of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. The Project has mandate to train 3500 Rural BPL youth. The Candidates are to be trained in Arc & Gas Welder, Hospitality Assistant and Sales Person (Retail) depending upon the qualification, interest level and competency in the beneficiaries. The Project would cover 12 districts of Chhattisgarh i.e. Raipur, Raigrah, Korba, Baloda Bazar, Dhamtari, Gariyabandh, Bilaspur, Janjgir Champa, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Durg and Mahasamund. The project benefit specially SC, ST, Minority and Women population. The aim of this project is to impart 3 months skill training thereby providing them the entry level jobs in the respective sectors and ensure the sustainable livelihood. A state of the art mega training center has been established in the campus of Vindhya Institute of Technology and Science (VITS) near Dharsiwa, Bilaspur Road, Raipur. The center has been equipped with modern training facilities and provide cohesive training environment. Separate hostel facility for boys and girls has been setup within the campus where free boarding and lodging facility is being provided. The training comprises of activities like Yoga, Sports, Recreation Games, Common T.V. and all necessities.
